Review I first got to hear Ben Cantelon leading worship while he was part of the Soul Survivor festivals. The Canadian singer would always lead with strength and power, wanting to see people encounter the love of God. At that time he had released his debut album Daylight Breaks Through (2007) which had some very strong songs on it. The following album was titled Running After You, which for me has some very much overlooked songs, like the amazing Coming Back, Jericho and You Alone. All beautiful worship songs. Now back with his newest album, with a nice album cover and great title of Everything In Colour, these eleven tracks have been described by Kingsway as Ben's 'strongest album yet', and we can see why.

Produced by multiple Dove award winner Jason Ingram (Chris Tomlin, One Sonic Society), the album has that famous Ingram sparkle added to it. This is a jammed packed album of Ben Cantelon tracks produced and recorded how they are meant to be heard, a wonderful collection of worship songs that are sincere and marvelous pieces of musical worship to God. The album kicks off with the mid tempo solid title track Everything In Color. This is a gentle worship song that says, actually life is amazing, a bright and beautiful place when you know Jesus as Lord. With a chorus of 'The world comes alive, when I open my eyes everything you see in colour, no more black and white, because I've seen the light, everything I see is in Colour' this is a nice gentle song to start the album. It does remind me of a scene when the dawn is breaking over a city, with a bright sun bursting out over the skyline. Well that's what I imagine anyway.

Don't expect this album to just be a gentle boat ride, we are quickly into the anthemic New Day. This one appeared on the Worship Central Spirit Break Out album, so might be well known to some of you already. It could be described as the new Happy Day, similar tempo, big sounds, big guitars and thumping drums. This is one of those songs you have to turn up loud and dance and sing, even jump along to. I'm sure people will be singing this one at all the summer festivals, with a great chorus of 'It's a new day, a new life, it's a new start for every heart that found you, Jesus we found you'. Now Guardian jumped out for me as one of those standout songs, not really keeping with the 'traditional' worship style of guitar playing. With its full sound, this has some great truthful lyrics 'You go before me, you are beside me.

And If I wonder, love will find me. My Guardian'. You don't usually hear the words 'My Guardian' in a worship song, something a bit different from Ben and it's well worth checking out. We then jump back to a well known Ben Cantelon song, Saviour of The World. I have always though this worship song had a bit of extra guts to it.

The song has a football anthem chant to it and is it a bit more in your face than most worship songs. A song that declare that Jesus is in fact the Saviour of The World. Great anthem this one that goes hand in hand with One Day.

Be Exalted is one of those great songs that you can just let wash over you, I found myself just standing where I was, eyes closed, hands in the air, repeating the chorus of 'Be Exalted, Be Exalted, in my life, above all us, be lifted high'. With a great array of piano work and then within the same song heavy drums, this is one song that goes from soft and gentle to out and out, no holding back, praise. The tracks Lord Strong And Mighty and My Deliverer have, how can I describe it, well a sort of Matt Redman & Tim Hughes vibe to them.
