Gateway Recovery Disk Download Windows 8

Gateway Recovery Disk Download Windows 8

The disk arrived quickly and is completely compatible with the Windows 7 operating system that I had just installed on an HP computer. Download game strategi pc ukuran kecil. Without the disk, I had no way to download any drivers to the computer and the Windows 7 DVD didn't have drivers for this particular computer.

Can not create Recovery media with new Gateway w/ pre-installed Windows 8. The pc works fine so far but (everyone knows) no recovery/bootable media was included with my new pc purchase. Free al-anon pamphlets. Neither the Gateway Recovery Management or the Windows - Control Panel Recovery are allowing me to create Recovery media. Messages are: 'hard drive configuration is not set to factor default - Backup aborted' or 'some required files are missing. To troubleshoot problem when PC cant start, use your windows installation disk or media.' Should I have a problem starting the PC I will have no media to do anything because this is what I am having trouble creating.

Can anyone help? I have called Gateway support in 3 different occasions and all they've done is instruct me to do the same steps I've done a dozen times ending up with the same result. At that point they say to have a technician physically work on the pc.

Also contacted Windows support and BestBuy (retailer where I bought the PC) and they all say it has to be dealt with Gateway since is was a factory installed OS. It really sucks not being able to have the Recovery Media. So far the Computer and Windows is working fine. I just don't want to reach the point of no return without the OS recovery media. Factory Default might mean the bios is set at Manufacturing settings for installing windows.

Reboot and tap F2 and enter Setup (bios) to see if there is a setting you can change. Do this if you are comfortable with changing anything in the bios. Or take it back to Best Buy and have them check the bios settings.

You have incorrect info about the Recovery media. The recovery disk is not a win 8 disk. It is a way to boot the computer to access your backups and system image that should be on an external hard drive and your Recovery partition on your internal hard drive. You don't need a win 8 disk since Refresh and Reinstall options are included in Win 8 in PC Settings. The boot recovery disk is just in case you can't get to PC Settings.

You need a usb thumb drive to use as a boot disk when the computer does not boot normally. How do you use recovery media? It says that you have to make sure secure boot is off and something else, but all the tutorials I have seen use a laptop. I am on a desktop. While dell told me the proceedures are the same for both they aren't and offered no help unless I wanted to shell out over 100. Which is bull when they told me incorrect info to start with.

Windows

Would you shell out 100 dollars for someone who just gave you incorrect info? I asked them that, and they made no comment. Only told me that usually it was the same, when it wasn't that wasn't what they said before. So I am honestly exhausted. I am trying to find the support to boot from a factory recovery media disk for a dell inspiron windows 8 desktop.

So far I have not found any support. They are all geared towards the laptops and the screens do not look the same.
